GIORNO 2 : Hokianga Harbour to Bay of Islands
This morning you have time to soak up the sights and sounds of Hokianga Harbour before we travel to Paihia. Here you can explore the gorgeous Bay of Islands, a National Maritime Park and home to 144 islands. You'll have two nights here so plenty of time to take it all in.
GIORNO 3 : Bay of Islands
There's a world of great options here to suit your mood, energy levels and budget! You'll have the chance to swim with the dolphins*, visit Russell*, the oldest settlement in New Zealand or if you're feeling active hike to the Hararu Falls through native bush. Tonight we'll enjoy an early group meal before you either relax by the water or head out to experience some of the night time activities.
GIORNO 4 : Bay of Islands to Rotorua
Our journey takes us south today past Auckland and through to Rotorua. Rotorua never fails to enthral and excite, a geothermal wonderland with bubbling mud-pools, gushing geysers and captivating culture. Once you've checked into your hotel, you're free to explore the town and decide on how you'll spend your free day tomorrow.

GIORNO 5 : Rotorua
You've got the entire day free to explore today and your options are virtually endless. Whether you want to raft the Kaituna River*, stand on active volcanoes*, watch mud boil*, the choice is yours. You may even want to explore Whakarewarewa Maori Village* or learn about weaving and wood carving techniques at Te Puia Maori Arts and Crafts Institute*.

GIORNO 6: Rotorua to Tongariro National Park
Follow the Thermal Explorer Highway to the heart of the North Island. See the spectacular Huka Falls and tranquil Lake Taupo. If the weather's fine, we may have time for a swim in the clear waters. We then travel south and cross the vast volcanic plateau of World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park. The three mountains at the heart of the park, Tongariro, Ngauruhoe and Ruapehu, have cultural and religious significance for the Maori people.

GIORNO 7: National Park to Wellington
We travel on further south today and into the nation's capital, Wellington. This afternoon we take a guided tour of the fascinating, Te Papa, the National Museum of New Zealand. You're then free to check out the many great restaurants, bars and cafes that are all close by your hotel.

GIORNO 8 & 9: Wellington to Nelson
This morning we bid farewell to any North Island passengers and welcome any West Coast or South Island passengers before boarding our Interislander cruise for a journey across Cook Strait through the magnificent Marlborough Sounds to Picton where upon arrival we take a leisurely, scenic journey to Nelson. The South Island's second largest city is well known for its wineries, breweries and its energetic local arts and crafts community. You have two nights here to explore this popular region. (D, Bx2)

GIORNO 10: Nelson to Punakaiki
Our journey today takes us alongside the Nelson Lakes National Park where we will take the time to explore this spectacular area. We have the opportunity to visit Lake Rotoiti or Lake Rotoroa and enjoy short walks through this region. Tonight, our overnight stay is at Punakaiki, nestled into the foothills of the Paparoa National Park. It's a magnificent ocean-front location, with spectacular views of the wild West Coast beaches.

GIORNO 11: Punakaiki to Fox Glacier
If you haven't already, take the short walk up to see Punakaiki's famous 'Pancake' stacks of rocks. We then travel south along the spectacular west coast travelling through Franz Josef and onto our accommodation in the Westland World Heritage Park in the Fox Glacier village. The fun begins this afternoon when we tackle Fox Glacier. Our guide will lead us beside a riverbed to a track, uphill through ferns and temperate rainforest. From high on the track you will enjoy fantastic views of the glacier. The route takes you onto the ice amongst crevasses and ice ridges and leads you into the middle of the glacier for spectacular views.

GIORNO 12 - 14: Fox Glacier to Queenstown
We continue past Lake Wanaka to the adrenalin capital, Queenstown. We have the next two days here to discover this incredible alpine resort - a town for adventurers and leisure-seekers alike. A highlight will be a cruise on the TSS Earnslaw on Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and a high country sheep show. (Bx3, D)

GIORNO 15: Queenstown & Milford Sound to Te Anau
Travel through Fiordland National Park to magnificent Milford Sound for an unforgettable cruise. You may even see dolphins, seals and penguins in their natural habitat. We then make our way to Te Anau.
GIORNO 16: Te Anau to Lake Ohau
This morninig we travel to magnificent Lake Ohau. This tranquil lakeside settlement lies on the outskirts of Mt Cook National Park. Our picturesque home for the night boasts awesome views!

GIORNO 17: Lake Ohau to Christchurch
Today we travel on to Lake Punakaki for some great photo opportunities as we gaze across the lake to Mt Cook. We then travel on to Lake Tekapo for a short walk before making our way on to Christchurch.
